How much for a site?

It's a common question, but as every site has different requirements, and is aimed at a different target market, no two prices are the same. We have a strong team with a wide variety of experience, with hourly rates ranging from £40 to £75; this allows us to be extremely competitive. Obviously, some types of work take longer than others, but we will always give you a written quotation, at the beginning, of the total cost you will face.

Can you give me a rough idea?

Certainly - there are some good rules of thumb that will give you a rough idea of how much your site is likely to cost. Please bear in mind that these are a guide only; every set of requirements is different, and if your needs are less complicated then the price could be lower than average. The opposite may be true, of course, so please contact us for an accurate quote.

For a simple 'brochure' website, which is designed to sit online and encourage people to contact you, the first question we need to answer is What level of design do you need? If your budget allows it, we would recommend that you use one of our dedicated web graphic designers to build your template. If you don't have the budget, we can slot your logo and colour scheme into one of our standard pre-built templates. Whoever builds it, the template defines graphical elements, the 'look and feel' of your site, and the navigation structure.

The second question is How many pages do you need?. Our rule of thumb is that we allow £60 per page for the first ten pages, assuming that all content can be made available in electronic form (Word documents, PDF files, images on disk/email). Subsequent pages cost £40 each, and if you are going to need more that 50 pages you'll probably be better off using our Content Management System (CMS), where there is no per-page cost.

Many web sites require more than simple pages that do not change regularly - they need to integrate with other electronic systems such as database, eCommerce, stock control or calendaring systems. We have a great deal of experience in this area and would be happy to quote based on an accurate set of requirements.
