CAT Driver Training

Going into 2020, the team at CAT Driver Training knew they offered the best driver training on the market. The only problem was that their five-year-old website didn’t reflect the cutting-edge services they had to offer – a problem they knew could be easily solved.

It was simply a matter of contacting Prominent Media and asking for an overhaul. Jo Hoad, the Sales & Marketing Director, had worked with Iain and Mani before on the initial website, and she felt confident that they were the right people for the revamp. “They’re a dedicated small team, just like us,” she said. “It was great to work with a team who have similar values.”

Lucy Hoad was a newer addition to the CAT marketing team, so she hadn’t met the Prominent Media team before. At first, she felt trepidation about working with web developers (“sometimes there’s friction between web developers and marketeers,” she explained) but her fears were quickly assuaged. She knew exactly what she wanted from the new website – increased flexibility, a more modern aesthetic, and a faster page-loading speed – and was pleased with how dedicated Iain and Mani were to making all of her ideas into a reality.

The Umbraco system underpinning the site made editing the complex designs straightforward, and the advanced image handling meant that their investment in high-quality photography paid off handsomely.

Even with the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 crisis and resulting lockdown, Lucy and Jo never felt abandoned. Communication remained consistent, with regular Zoom calls accompanying the usual email updates. Timed to coincide with the relaxation of social distancing restrictions, the website went live over the summer, giving the CAT team a stylish, functional website with which to entice their prospects.

Even more impressive was the immediate increase in enquiries and engagement. Comparing August 2020 with the same period a year before, CAT more than doubled the users and sessions on their website. Not only that; the number of lead conversions increased by 100%! The boost to their business was tangible, all thanks to a website that effectively conveyed the great work they were already doing.
